Louisville to host Ole Miss in 2024 ACC-SEC Challenge

A familiar face will be returning to the KFC Yum Center. Louisville will host Ole Miss in the 2024 ACC-SEC Challenge, according to college basketball insider Jon Rothstein. The game will mark the return of senior forward Dre Davis to the KFC Yum Center, where he played for the Cardinals from 2020-22. This comes after Louisville did not participate in the previous year's challenge due to poor performance. Louisville is 2-1 against Ole Miss all-time, with the most recent meeting being a 78-69 Cardinal victory in 2008. Ole Miss is currently ranked 14 and 22 in the early preseason top 25 from the Field of 68 and 22 from ESPN.

According to college basketball insider Jon Rothstein, Louisville will host Ole Miss in the 2024 installment of the ACC-SEC Challenge.

The Cardinals did not participate in year one of the challenge because they weren’t good enough at basketball.

Here’s the full list of year two matchups, via Rothstein:

The U of L-Ole Miss contest will mark the return to the KFC Yum Center for senior forward Dre Davis, who played for the Cardinals from 2020-22. After a pair of successful seasons at Seton Hall, Davis announced in April that he’d be playing his final season of college basketball for Chris Beard and the Rebels.

Louisville is 2-1 all-time in games against Ole Miss, with the most recent meeting being a 78-69 Cardinal victory in December of 2008.

Ole Miss is No. 14 in the early preseason top 25 from the Field of 68, and No. 22 in the latest rankings from ESPN.
