Pedestrian dead after being hit by two vehicles on I-65 in Scott County
Police said a man walking along I-65 at night was first grazed by a semi and then walked another half mile before being hit by a second vehicle. An Indiana man, 35-year-old Bryce Allen Sheaffer, was hit and killed by two vehicles on I-65 South in Scott County. The first driver of a semi called 911 after believing he hit a pedestrian walking along the fog line, but another driver reported the incident a short time later. The victim was found about a half mile north of the initial call. Police believe Sheaffer was grazed by the semi and continued walking until he was hit by the other vehicle. Neither alcohol nor drugs are suspected to be a factor in the incident.
