The report found that Jefferson County generated over $300 million in state and local tax revenue. The tourism industry accounted for 30% of the $13.8 billion overall economic impact of tourism in Kentucky. The region, which includes Jefferson and 14 surrounding counties, saw $5.1 million in economic impact. Additionally, 27,254 people were employed in the tourism industry in Jefferson County.
