He was burned over 50% of his body and was in an induced coma, but died on Christmas Day. The crash's left engine detached during takeoff, and cracks were later found where the engine connected to the wing. Local businesses and more than 90 people affected by the crash plan to file another lawsuit in the coming weeks.
