New Albany man dies after motorcycle crash on I-65 near Eastern Boulevard in Clarksville

It happened around 11 o'clock Tuesday night. Mason Brown, a 25-year-old New Albany man, died after he crashed his motorcycle on Interstate 65 near Eastern Boulevard in Clarksville, Kentucky. The accident occurred around 11 p.m. on the northbound lanes of I-65 and left Brown ejected from his motorcycle, which continued to hit a parked semi. Brown was rushed to UofL Hospital in Louisville, where he died from his injuries. Police believe the motorcycle was traveling at extremely high speeds and had passed several vehicles after crossing the Lincoln Bridge. The driver of the SUV was uninjured and remained at the scene.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB) -- A New Albany man is dead after he crashed his motorcycle in the northbound lanes of Interstate 65 near the Eastern Blvd. overpass in Clarksville late Tuesday night.

It happened around 11 p.m. on Interstate 65 in Clark County, just north of the Eastern Boulevard overpass, according to a news release from Indiana State Police.

When first responders arrived, they found 25-year-old Mason Brown on the ground after he was apparently thrown from his 2013 Kawasaki motorcycle. After speaking with witnesses investigators believe the motorcycle was traveling "at extremely high speeds" and had passed several vehicles after crossing the Lincoln Bridge. Police said the bike continued north, before rear-ending a silver 2016 Yukon SUV.

The driver of the Yukon was uninjured and remained at the scene.

Brown was ejected from the bike, which continued on the side of the road before hitting a parked semi. He was rushed to UofL Hospital in Louisville, where he died from his injuries.
