Downtown Lexington plans a bright and joyful holiday season
The city’s holiday season features combined festivities, novel experiences and the return of popular favorites. The city of Lexington is preparing for the holiday season, with the Downtown Lexington Partnership (DLP) working with the community to host various events. The city's holiday parade and annual holiday lighting will occur on Sunday, Dec. 6. The goal of merging these events is to create a new experience for spectators, allowing illuminated floats, festive decorations and downtown’s holiday lights to take center stage. In addition, Triangle Park is adding a free interactive holiday lighting installation in place of its usual ice rink. DLP is encouraging people to support local businesses in its Shop, Sip, Celebrate holiday shopping program.
