Creighton vs. Princeton odds, picks for NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 game

See odds, expert picks, TV info and more for the Creighton vs. Princeton NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 game. The Princeton Tigers are by far the biggest surprise in the Sweet 16, pulling off back-to-back upsets as a No. 15 seed. They enter this game as nearly a double-digit underdog and will have to pull off another stunner against No. 6 seed Creighton as they enter as a surprise surprise. After knocking off No. 2 seed Arizona in one of the biggest upsets of the first round, the Tigers came out against Missouri in the Round of 32 and absolutely shot the lights out, going 12-for-33 from 3-point range in a 15-point win that probably was not as close as even that final score might indicate. Creighton relies on its starting five to carry the offense, but it is trying to reach the Elite Eight just for the second time since the 1941 tournament. The game will be broadcast on TBS.

The Princeton Tigers are by far the biggest surprise in the Sweet 16, pulling off back-to-back upsets as a No. 15 seed. They will have to pull off another stunner against No. 6 seed Creighton, as the Tigers enter this game as nearly a double-digit underdog.

Tip-off is set for 9 p.m. ET Friday from the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville. The game will be broadcast on TBS.

Princeton’s Blake Peters, who averaged just 5.9 points per game during the regular season, was especially dangerous from beyond the arc by hit 5-of-8 shots from 3-point range. He finished with 17 points, second only to Ryan Langborg’s 22 points.

Princeton was able to do all of that while getting just nine points from Tosan Evboumwan, who has been the team’s top scorer this season.

Creighton does not like to dig into its bench much and relies almost exclusively on its starting five to carry the offense. Ryan Kalkbrenner is the team’s top scorer, but he managed just 10 points in the Round of 32 win over Baylor. Guard Ryan Nembhard, however, went off in that game with a season-high 30 points.

Through the first two games of the tournament Creighton has received just 11 points from its bench, with all 11 of them coming from Francisco Farabello. At some point that lack of depth might start to hurt Creighton the deeper it gets into the tournament.

This is Creighton’s fifth trip to the Sweet 16 in school history and it is trying to reach the Elite Eight just for the second time, and first time since the 1941 tournament. That’s back when only eight teams made the tournament.
