LMPD investigating after man found shot in Russell neighborhood

A man was shot Thursday morning in west Louisville. A man was shot in the 3100 block of Vermont Avenue in Louisville's Russell neighborhood early Thursday morning, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department. The victim was transported to UofL Hospital and is expected to survive. The LMPD Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating the shooting and there are currently no known suspects. Anyone with information is urged to call the LMPD's anonymous tip line at (502) 574-5673 or utilize the Crime Tip Portal online.

LOUISVILLE, Ky. — A man is in the hospital after he was shot Thursday morning in Louisville's Russell neighborhood.

At about 2 a.m., Louisville Metro police responded to a shooting in the 3100 block of Vermont Avenue, according to an LMPD news release.

Officers on scene found a man who had been shot. He was transported to UofL Hospital where officials believe he will survive.

The LMPD Non-Fatal Shooting Unit is investigating. There are currently no known suspects.
