Florida State improved to 20-3 on the season with an eight-inning, 14-3 run-rule victory vs. No. 6 Florida Tuesday night in Jacksonville. and combined for five hits, three home runs and 10 RBI on the evening as FSU pounded out 15 hits in the contest. After a three-run home run in the first inning, the Seminole bullpen held Florida to just one hit over the next 7.0 innings. FSU struck out 13 Gators hitters, while FSU hitters struck out just three times.

The win secured FSU's first regular-season series win over the Gators since 2015, which was also FSU's last win in Jacksonville against Florida.

Louisville enters the weekend looking for its first ACC series win of the year, dropping two-of-three to Virginia Tech and Wake Forest over the last two weekends. Last year, Florida State ended the 2023 season winning two of three against the Cardinals in Louisville.
