Miniature pony spared from eviction as Louisville councilwoman works to amend city ordinance
A beloved miniature pony, Bandit, isn't losing his home in the Merriwether neighborhood. A new city ordinance in Louisville, which requires microchipping for dogs and cats and includes a requirement that at least one or more acres of land for miniature horses is required. The change was not discovered until a recent visit from animal control. Metro Councilwoman Jennifer Chappell is working to add grandfathering language to the law to clarify the situation.
